hey guys and thx for help up front. Heres the deal: got a sr swap with a bad clutch, so i installed a new clutch set up, resurfaced flywheel, new fork, pivot ball, and tob. also installed a z31 salve cylinder and a stainless clutch line. ive also adjusted the clutch pedel all the way from the firewall to maximize pedel travel. Intermittently im experiencing a horrific grinding sound from my clutch/trans when shifting into gear and sometimes when pushing the clutch in in neutral. the issue even prevented me from going into any gear for about 30 seconds then let me go into gear? im stumped bc almost everything is new?

what clutch are you using. You may need to adjust your clutch pedal

exedy oem clutch assembly. The clutch is adjusted all the out currently with the issues. When i moved the rod 1/4 of the way in it grinded and slipped under acc. so i dont believe its the clutch pedel

maybe you should check the slave cylinder to make sure it is completely disengaging the clutch.

Are you 100% sure that you installed the throw out bearing in the right way. It kinda sounds like it maybe backwards. Ask me how I know this.

maybe its the wrong part. had that happened to me couple times press plate is right but throw out bearing is wrong or press plate is wrong everything else is right. I dunno just saying best way to find out is take it out again and look if there's any signs of wear. Goodluck

maybe you need to re-bleed the system...??? you sure you used the recommended amount of gear fluid?

im going to try another ka slave cylinder today, i feel the angle of the z31 rod to the fork is more than on a ka. then ill bleed the hell out of the system and hope for the best, i really dont want to remove the tranny for the third time!

same with me guy !
we are ( or were ) in the same boat

as for the grinding noises , it may be your throw out bearing .. i couldnt see it being anything else.
