Transmission Whining Sound

I know this topic has been covered extensively. And I've done a lot of reading. I've come to the conclusion that what is making the noise in my transmission is most likely my input shaft bearing. However, I'd like for you guys to watch this video, in the beginning you can hear the noise. It only happens when the clutch pedal IS NOT pushed in. Once I push the clutch pedal in, it goes away. I've already replaced my TOB a few months ago so I don't think it is that.

if its not ur tob check ur fluid levels. also could be syncros

Did you change your pilot bushing as well? What clutch and what TOB did you use? Did you great the TOB? I use a nissan Z32 one.... bigger and better for stock clutches...

I did not change the pilot bushing. I have an ACT clutch with the ACT TOB for SR20DET. Transmission is a little notchy sometimes, I've already replaced fluid with new Redline MT-90.

I have the same exact problem with my transmission. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gears have highly audible whine noise and 4th to 5th has none though. You can only hear it when clutch is depressed. I already filled up my transmission with 70w-90 GL4 gear oil.

Hey killer sounds like your car is running great... Get rid of the MT90 crap, its crap!!!! You gotta go amsoil for sure GL4..... MT90 sucks....

ACT sucks tooo that clutches suck balls and have known to be noisey.... Try a Nissan z32 TOB....

Yeah, probably gonna have to replace clutch sooner or later... At higher RPMs if I really slam it, it will show signs of slipping... When the clutch is unbearable to drive with I'll switch it out along with the oil... Any recommendations for clutch brand since ACT sucks?

You MUST be new to this car thing. Spec clutches are garbage. This is common knowledge.

Id take a Spec clutch over an ACT anyday. Last ACT I bought had RUST (not just surface rust) on the pressure plate.. brand new out of the packaging. Neither ACT nor their distributor would help me out on what was very obviously a defective part. Spec sucks too, but ACT is complete horse shit.

ACT and spec sucks balls..... RPS Max Turbo Clutch Street Disc.... freaking awesome, they manufactured 2JZ TRD Stage 1 clutches for the longest time.....

Been running that forever....

Exedy Stage 2 isn't bad, but anything over 250WHP is going to kill that clutch fast. I am just not a fan of pucked clutches cause street engagement is harshs....

I have a spec stage 4 running fine... what are you guys talking about? Also, I think my tranny whiles louder than that.. Probably the input bearings going which is not letting the gears mesh properly.. Mine was fine before I actually started making power..

I make 330whp on a dyno dynamics and it doesn't whine like that.... My rear diff does though and just got it done ober the weekend....
