Just an idea because I love the sound my RB w/ and dont want to get a different exhaust, although i wish I could make it quieter at times. So I thought about taking an electric cut out and welding it inline with the exhaust, then maybe drilling a couple holes through the plate so the exhaust flow is just slightly restricted, just like how a muffler silencer would work. And open the valve all the open when I want it to be louder. Anyone have any idea why this wouldnt work?

First step to asking for help is knowing how. Review your grammar and sentence structures and try again. You will have better results, trust me.

worst idea ever. the way an e-cutout works is to use it on a y pipe one side would have the valve and the other side continues in the current exhaust so if you want it quiter then get a different exhaust and put the y pipe in.

yeah, exhaust cut-offs suck from what i hear

i've never heard of electronic ones but i know apexi sold a thing that hooked up to your throttle, it was a flange type of thing, the more you pressed on it the more it opened, it would be closed at idle

Or you can try to get access to one of those varex mufflers. Kinda similar to the apex ecv but installed in the muffler.

For $150 or whatever it is try the cable actuated apexi. If it doesn't work you tried.

it wont work because e cutouts suck. i had a mccord on my srt4 and wound up throwing it in the garbage, all the vibration and heat will destroy it over time
