Me and Alex Rivera over at Tekone autoworks did this swap back when i worked there.

you will need custom mount extensions, a j30 oil pan, custom down pipe, custom exhaust, custom intercooler pipeing, a duel core fmic, a oil cooler, custom tranny mount, the shifter lines up pretty well if you get the engine in the right spot.
you will also need a oil filter relocation kit.
Your steering column will need to be hevaly modified.
You have very very little play in where you put the engine.
im sure im forgetting some small things.

We did it, it took us like 4 months and ours even had icy cold ac!.. so if you have the tools and the skill to make it work. its a neat engine to have in the car. i can post some pics later :)

In my opinion, I would just do an ls1 swap.

Not everyone has 10g to drop into a swap. just to make 300 whp. xcessive manufacturing has a swap kit to do it. i say do it f#ck being a ls nut hugger

VG30ET's are turds.

VG30DETT's are really heavy turds.

Do a VQ30DE swap. You will thank me later.

Cheaper, lighter, easier all around, and can still make big power.

Vg30dett in a 240 is gonna suck azz some guy had one at one of the meets and he said it sucked to work on because of the lack of room plus it ended up costing way more than he thought think 5-7k's. Since when do ls1 swaps cost 10k? This shop called daft innovation quoted me 8k for a complete running swap with a/c. IMHO richard if you have that kind of money I would do a fully built KA or SR VG30= really heavy paper-weight.

Depending on how handy you are, a LS swap can be done for as little as 3k. Use a 5.3 or 6.0 Iron block, adds 60lbs, but a 5.3 can be had for $500... so forth. If your building a track only car, rock a T-10 4spd manual, a used one is like $200, a brand new Richmond is only $1,500 or so. Local drive shaft shop could do a DS for $200-300, run mega squirt or oem ECU...
