whoa. cool pic. makes it look like the east coast is where the major cities and night life is at.. unless it was taken while the west coast still had sunlight.

Not to mention the earth is round, and it would be impossible to take one picture and get it all in.

the whole pic IS at night around the world. hence the bright spots..if it was day time you would see land masses and green blues and all the colors of the rainbow around...it is a nice pic around the world.

More interesting was a comparison shot I've seen between a picture like this and one taken the day of the blackout. It's quite spooky to see a picture like this with NYC just, not, there.

Its not that the east coast has more night life but that the west coast is spread out. Cali is like 3-4 states on the east coast. Can't expect the entire thing to be bright.

Greenland is ****ing enormous. I compared that to the map I have at my house and there definately has to be something up with the bishes at rand mcnally.

lol no that map up top is stretched at the top and bottom.. didnt u learn that at school? look at antarctica.. that kinda gives it away
