View Full Version : S13 bogging out! Help! Ayuda! AAAAAAAH!!!!

I'm doing this for the homie so....

The car idles way to low (450-500)
It lacks a lot of power
He's gassing and it barely moves
The fastest he can go is 40 MPH in 5th gear
Rattles a lot but Motor Mounts are new Nismo
Sprays a lot of water from the exhaust
Any help would be appreciated

btw!!! it's a 91 DOHC :goyou:

btw!!! it's a 91 DOHC :goyou:

if its blowing water out the exhaust its a blown headgasket which would also account for the loss of power. I forgot what test you do for blown hg idk if its comp test or something else so just google.

tell him just keep driving it, he'll over heat eventually then when he checks the rad its going to be empty cause all the coolant just blew through the hg and out the exhaust. I think you can also pressure test the radiator and you'll lose pressure if the hg is blown that and low numbers on a compression test would tell you forsure.

For sure for sure, Thanks for the input. He's gonna change his spark plugs and cables to see what it does if not IDK it's not my problem. HAHAHAHAHAHA

It was two that went out. He blamed it on cheap gas. :-/

So it was gas then not water spraying out his exhaust?

water sprays out during cold starts. 1 gal of water per 1 gal of fuel
