View Full Version : Question: How much does the stock 240 wing help? I might remove mine.
So do any of you know how much if it help's?
I am thinking of removing mine and getting the holes fixd and dint removed from the trunk...
I like the sleek look and it would help in the car wash.. its hard to wash under it...

I doubt it helps much even at high speeds, if anything at all. Style.
I would remove it and fill the holes, better look IMHO

If you would like, you could append to the old thread concerning this topic, which was about 3 pages long. It was chock full of info. Just search and you will find it.
Only to keep the forum clean of any multiple postings that is.

I have talked to guys who have despoilered there cars and they have noticed a diffrence when it is wet out. One guy told me that after he took it off he allmost lost it on a bridge once. it does create a little downforce, but like said befor only at high speeds. if you dont like the stock spoiler you could also put this spoiler on your car.http://www.silviaparts.com/1400202.jpg it is the jdm spec k spoiler.
I forgot to Search like a total nubi tard! Sorry.
I was lookin at the R34 wing... But I think it would be outa place on a stock lookin 240.

the factory spoiler doesnt create any downforce
I think it would be unmeasurable
if you feel unsafe, take it off and put a brick in your trunk, that will create more weight over the rear end then the spoiler ever would and you dont even have to go fast to use it.
