I use NESticle, its an OK emulator. I rarely use it though. Download that and then download a ROM and just open it like a regular file. Its pretty easy. Goto Kazaa, ussually people have like 200 games and a few emulators all in one big Zip file.

Mame is a fantastic emulator and Mame32 is a userfriendly version of it. Mame is for arcade systems primarily though so it won't help your NES fix.

NESticle is good for NES
SNES9x is pretty good for SNES

Try

Zophar (http://www.zophar.net/index.phtml) for a place to read and learn about the emulator community.

Classic Gaming (http://www.classicgaming.com/) is another great site to get a start at.

Also, if you have a modded PSOne, there is an iso floating around that has an nes emulator and a few hundred games on it.

I think I got mine from kazaa, and it works fine.

i use ZSNES to play snes roms. The layout looks just like NESticle. You can control how fast the game plays, save screens anytime in the game, and control volume, etc. The speed control comes in handy in rpgs when you want to get through a battle quickly. Save state is probably the coolest thing, though. Save state so if you mess up, then just hit a button and you can start over again without going through everything again.

hmmmmmmmmm!? I got nesticle with 920 games. Butt, it won't play I click on the .exe file and it opens and closes right away.

What to do, what to do.

Mame is the shizzit!
As for the closing automatically...camppain, what OS are you using? Reason I ask, is you might have to run XP in an 95 environment. Try dragging the files over to the executable and seeing if they launch.

Using NESticle? Here is what I do.... Open nesticle by clicking on the NESTCL95.exe, goto File--> Load Rom---> Browse to the desired games folder and it should appear, then click open.

Is that how your version of Nesticle works?
