SR20 NGK iridium part number !?? -SEARCHED-

Folks, I can't seem to find a reference (search turned up nothing) to a part number for NGK iridium spark plugs for a redtop SR20. Stock or one range colder would be great.

I believe they are the BKR7E's

don't know the part number but they are the exact same plugs as Z32 twin turbos and B13 SE-R's.

the Z32 ones are too long? because I have read others using them and the plugs working well.

BKR7EIX for the stock heat range "7" iridium plugs. Enjuku has them in stock at all times, too.
And trust me.. I just bought them from Enjuku about 2 months ago, because SR plugs = KA plugs.

you can use the SR ones in the KA but viseversa they would be close to or hitting the pistons.

oh and i'm talking about the B13, not the 300zx, i have no knowledge of the 300zx.

yeah I think I am going to go with the Z32's also. Should I go copper or platinum? I have heard copper is more power but wear out faster. So I am thinking platinum.

According to NGK, they are the same part number, just KA are 1 heat range warmer. How would there be a vice versa?

Honestly I highley doubht you'll be able to tell the differnce between the two
just go with platinum they last longer
I couldn't tell a differnce between my old platinums and my iridiums I have now, except for the car idling better

well With respect to the viseversa, if the plugs are too long they will hit the pistons but if they are too small then there would not be a problem just less compression in the chamber.

WHY I SAY THE B13's DONT WORK:
well when i got my sr i got new plugs and got the model for the b13 and when i got home not only where they about 1/4" longer than the current ones in my sr but also, they were the exact same ones that were in my KA24E, so maybe there was an error with the NGK part number at the store? i dunno but the ones in the SR were the smae Manu/Model i was getting NGK iridium IX so i just got the most similar one at the store. Works well.

The KA24E has a different head design than the DE, and probably explains why the SR plugs were too long. Sorry, I was talking about the KA24DE.

In my SR20DET I can definitely feel that Iridium is more responsive than Platinum using the gap of .032 inch or .81mm.

go to autozone and ask for a 93 nissan sentra se-r

Dont ask for a stock SR20DE sparkplug from a sentra SE-R. Stock, they are 5 as far as temp. If your pushing your SR20DET anything more than stock boost, go ahead and run the 7s
