so i'm thinking about gettin the BC stage 2 cams for my ka24de. Does anyone have any experience with these?

can i just drop them in? or do i need to do some modifications to anything?

Are these good cams to get?

Anyone recomend anything else?

I will also be doing my timing chains along with the cams and was wondering why this set:

91-99 NISSAN 240SX 2.4 L DOHC KA24DE Timing Chain Kit (http://store.everythingcarparts.com/91-99-NISSAN-240SX-24-L-DOHC-KA24DE-Timing-Chain-Kit/Nissan-Parts/240SX/Engine-Timing-Belt-Kit-p8525787.html)

is so much cheaper than this set:

OSK 13028-53F02 KA24DE DOHC Timing Chain Kit 1991-1998 Nissan 240SX (http://www.frsport.com/OSK-13028-53F02-KA24DE-DOHC-Timing-Chain-Kit-1991-1998-Nissan-240SX_p_3225.html)

any insight into this? Should i just get the cheaper one? it comes with more parts...im a lil lost and hesitant.

thank you

never used the bc cams on a KA, dont know anyone personally that has either. But myself and several friends all have BC cams in our SR20's.

Love em!

irc you may not be able to just drop them in. Might need a little trimming. Something about BC only making one cam for both versions of the KA (RWD&FWD).

it won't fit within the valve cover, lol

the FWD cams have the distributor drive on the exhaust cam ( extra inch and a half ish )

they all need to be trimmed so u can use the cam for the rwd kade.then you need to swap the intake n exhaust cam when u install them..i have the stge 2 cams and they are ok but you really need cam gears to take full advantage of them though and to have them dailed in jus right

ok got it...they need to be trimmed...and i need to put the exhaust cam where the intake came is supposed to go, and the intake cam where the exhaust cam is supposed to go? <---weird...do i have that right?

also, do any cam gears work? or would i need to find some compatible with these cams?
