I recently bought a 240SX 93 fastback AT 270K for 1200 bucks a couple of days ago. Im very exicited.
I own a G35 NA Plenum Spacer, HKS Statik Replica, 25MM Spacer All the way around, JDM Clear Markers with Bump, Stock Rays.
The reason I got the 240SX is because I needed a daily driver. I bought the 240SX on craigs list. I thought it was cool that they gave me the Sticker that shows the price.
Next step is to find someone that can do some diagnostics so see what's wrong on the S13.
That's when I ran into this site. Some people said that Lynn from JER in Westminister seems good.
I called , he answered. I asked him for a point inspection and how much it would cost. He said 150 for 150 point inspection. I went down to meet him that day around 2PM.
1st impressions, he was very nice courteous, some broken English, but I can understand very well.
Knowledge impressions, he knows his shit, he gave me the walk around and showed me some of his toys, and customers cars. I did manage to see a S13 Silva front end (Turbo) from one of his customers.
I dropped off my car , and a couple of hours later he gave me my diagnostic results.
Brakes 50% , Need Transmission Service, Rack & Pinion Boot Broken, High Pressure House Leak, Steering Pump very Noisy, Front Crank Seal Leaking, Oil Pressure Switch Leaking, and Lastly Compression resulted at 175PSI on all cylinders.
What's next you ask ?
I was thinking fixing the above items myself Woo Hoo, then concentrating on suspension, then AT to manual conversion, then prepping my engine for some Boost.
Im super excited, more then my G35 because I know I can do shit to my S13. I feel like im cheating on my "G". But I'm learning some new hardcore epic shit right?
I have hardly any experience with doing mechanic work , but I think I found my new passion.
Looking forward to some meets in OC LA areas in the feature and meeting some of you cats. My S13 might look like crap but o'well.
