the first plug, i cant tell but it looks like its next to the thermostat. my guess would be its for hte knock sensor.

1ST IS KNOCK SENSOR...the knock sensor is on the side of the block under the intake manifold

those 2 go together. the botom pic should actually run UNDER the intake manifold toward engine front(not over the top), to make it long enough to connect with the top pic. the way you have it run its not long enough to reach. [and i believe it is the knock sensor if its a round sensor connected to the head on the other end]

I know they go together. the wires are just pulled thru the intake mani instead of toward the front under it, so its not long enough. did that about 10 engine removals ago.

if you have trouble feeding it back thru under the intake manifold tape the plug end (pic2)to thin solidcore wire (or coat hanger). makes life much easier

glad we got that sorted out for you.

check your lower trans harness, i bet the speed sensor harness isnt pluged in or making good contact. the sensor is on the driverside of the trans close to where the driveshaft enters the trans (I think im remembering correctly). held in with a single bolt (iirc) and looks different from the other sensors. make sure its plugged in. the sensors drive gear is plastic (inside the trans), and they do break, so if it hasnt been working in the past the gear may be broken

What color are the wires? Because the second plug, both green, looks like the VSS. But no one can really know unless we know the colors.
