well theres our car scene for us...haha. i would think there was more since theres like street racing spots EVERYWHERE. not that i do cuz thats dumb, but seriously come on haha. and yeah theyre hiding pretty well

There's plenty of street racing / drifting spots around the area, but they are all locked down or burnt. I think most of the Zilvian's who go to Cal Poly drive their daily's. I don't drive my 240 to school either. lol.

I graduated in 2009. I lived in the Village, but I still drove my 93 fastback to class most of the time (its hot, and I was usually running late).

The top of the parking structure is a pretty sweet location for meetups, although I think the campus cops patrol there...

They break into cars all the time - my car was broken into, and two of my friends cars were stolen (both Integras). One was recovered, but the other wasnt. The school is super close to two major freeways so be careful.

You must not drive through the parking structure then. I see at least 2-3 240's, modified, every time I drive through.

Not really, cars get stolen at any school. Mt. Sac has the bigger problem with car theft.

Yeah, sometimes I would encounter Spooled240 along my travels to Mt. SAC and I give him the high beams.. The funny thing is that i always spot him on the hill area between SAC and Poly.

yo i live in pomona and drive pass Cal Poly to Mt. SAC everyday, i spot 240s all day at SAC and pulling into Cal Poly. Theres lots of 240s at SAC.

hm i just went to the parking structure and saw an s13 with exhaust and wheels and a zenki with blastpipes, and a bunch of hondas, si's, rsx's, and a few clean preludes..but a bunch of tuners tho like 30 in the structure

I graduated from there in '08. Car theft is the least of your worries. People have actually been abducted from the parking lots late at night.

Car thefts are notorious there in the lots, especially the ones located right by the 10 fwy because anyone can just steal a car and take it straight to the fwy and they're gone. I know some also park off-campus on the roads like Valley or Temple because of no parking pass but that's also risky as well...

When I daily'd my 240, I made sure I didn't park it waaay off in the boonies where there's no one which would increase the chances of it being stolen....I ended up parking in the lots where there's tons of foot traffic which would help deter would-be thieves due to more witnesses being around....

Worked for me but dunno if it worked for any other 240 drivers at Cal Poly.

I have always driven my DD 240 to school. First 3 years I had a flat black coupe with silvia front end. Last year I had another coupe with a silvia front but was two tone with a red front end. This year Im driving a red coupe with silvia front end.

Only thing they have ever stolen from me was a kazama shift knob my first year, but I left the door unlocked, and I think it was a student. It really doesn't matter where you park. If someone wants your car its gone. From experience, I can get into my 240 within a min with a wedge and small broom stick.

But if you see me driving to campus dont be shy, wave or honk. :)

My cooupe was stolen from my house, parts were stripped. I recovered it and sold it. Now i'm driving a bronze g20t since i commute from riverside. This thing is muuuch better on gas.

Calpoly alum! I use to see a couple here and there. There was this hideous sileighty, primered out with some huge GT wing. I use to daily my car there just about everyday i went there. Black coupe super slammed XD9s. Drove back around the school area recently and man do I miss those college days!

i go to cal poly but i dont own a 240 anymore. I used to go to mt sac off and on from 2004-2008 with my s14. never had a problem with cops or people. I was the steal grey kouki s14 on fno1rc. i daily my car with sr20 and got 25mpg. There weren't many 240 when i went to mt sac.

240 is the new civic now. everyone and their mom has one.
