Basically if my fan is off my idle is strong @ 700 ish and my car never dies however when I engaged my fan (A/C off, just blower) my idle instantly drops at least 200 and sometimes more.
Often my car will die.. I have to feather the gas to keep er going. This is ok in the summer but when my car is foggy this winter and im driving on ice I'd hate for this to end my life.
Suggestions?

by any chance do you have an SR swap and using a small battery??? if so that can be a possible issue?

Nope stock KA basically.. I guess I should clean IACV?

I'd have the battery and charging system tested. Do you know the condition of either?

Well I figure since its rock solid every time(including starting) unless I specifically touch the fan it can't be the alt or battery logically or it would affect the idle all the time.
Maybe my logic is flawed

It's possible your alternator is going bad and can't handle the extra current load when the blower kicks in, but can take the lower load of just normal accesories at idle.
I'm not sure, but I think the IACV would be suspect if you were dying when you turned your compressor on, but I don't think the car has to increase the idle engine rpm to make up for the blower being turned on?

Hmm can anyone confirm that? Makes a lot of sense to be honest.. do I have to take it in somewhere to get the alt tested or is there a way I can do it myself?
