The only one I get is Modified. It's kind of nice to be able to get it in the mailbox and not worry about sl00ts being all over the cover and my wife getting pissed off, haha. I like that they have a technical aspect of the magazine as well- kind of cool. For sure my favorite overall though.
I really like the writing style and paper quality of S3 Magazine too. I might be subscribing to that one in the near future as well- just note that it only comes out four times per year.

I subscribed to Super Street back in 04, kinda grew out of the whole magazine thing though.
Whenever I feel out of touch I page through some at the drug store, then I realize how different things are now than they were, and how many things are still exactly the same.

between my roommate and i, road and track, car and driver, automobile, motor trend, and like three different Mustang magazines come to the house. i think the Mustang ones are the only ones either of us actually pay for, the rest were free subscriptions.
i used to get SCC, but then it died. used to read Super Skeet religiously back in high school.

Well said man, damn economy has magazines sucking these days.
I subscribed from 1998 - 2006 to Super Street, that was back when it was 300 plus pages though. I subscribed also to Import Tuner just for laughs from 2001 - 2004. I saved every issue, and my dad threw them away while I was at basic training. OUCH

I love Grassroots Motorsports Magazine, just subscribed actually, been buying off the shelf for over a year now though, they have tons of info on legit track racing, rally, drifting, drag, auto-x everything car wise they have it in there. I also enjoy D Sport and Modified as well, and used to be a fan of SCC til it died but of all i'd say i enjoy GRM the most, they all make great bathroom reading material:w00t:

It's a quarterly newsstand only. The builds in them are not that bad. I wouldn't follow them to a T cause like all mags They add sponsor parts that make no sense to the build.
I sub to Super Street because it has some good pictorials. The writing is horrible. My grammar isn't the best but I expect more from paid publications. Writers pad their articles with off topic crap that has nothing to do with the Car just to get column length. Really I get it cause it's like watching a train wreck sometimes. I'll read a well put together article then turn the page to the next one and it will be like someone let their 12yr old cousin write their article this month. Far form consistent.
Modified has kept their tech and article quality up and I am generally not disappointed.
D-Sport is what Super Street should be. Went from Drag-Sport to D-sport to take on more areas such as Drifting. Has good grip articles too. Great Photos and Tech articles. The DVD is always a bonus even though I don't like the Aussie host.
EuroTuner, European Car, Ect... I guess all the bandwagoners are going euro. Good all around mags but I feel the hype of the scene in them.
I get the MotorTrend, Car&Driver, Road&Track, Automobile, ect... When I can get a free one. A lot of bias depending of the mag(C&D is BMW or nothing). Seems more like sales brochures then magazines. Not complaining for free but would never pay for bias.
I like consumer reports car articles. I don't agree always with their "scoring" system because they are going strictly from value:dollar, car is transportation view. But, the articles are well written and you can see where they are coming from and make your own decision from the article if you ignore the Dots. No advertisers, no pandering.
I think the first magazine sub I bought with my own money was Popular Hot Rodding. I like it and Car Craft for the tech details they go into. Nice underbody shots.
I surf the magazine racks and buy anything that has a tech article that interests me.

Modified and Super Street. Modified is a lot better, super street...is...satisfactory at best.

One thing many of you tech guys fail to realize is that even a Honda Tuning magazine has some tech that relates to Nissan. All I4's are the same in a matter of speaking.

GSM FTMFW!!! They have some DIY tech articles and probably my next is Option2 for all your DIY stuff, then Drift Tengoku, then Option....
I am really not a fan of the US stuff... too much marketing and bolt on bla bla bla...

Back in the 90's I started subscribing to Super Street, because it was the only import mag that ever talked about the 240sx. But I dropped that subscription long ago once I started getting all my info from forums.
I used to subscribe to Motor Trend because it was the most straight-forward mainstream car magazine. Just had articles on cars, no long-winded self-important opinion pieces by people I didn't care about. But that changed, and I started to find it boring.
I've been subscribing to Automobile for about 8 years or so. I prefer it to the rest, as I really enjoy the writing. I also enjoy the design analysis and auction coverage.

Also drift tengoku...I love the magazines but I cant read them lol. Still great pictures and more interesting than the majority of magazines I see on the stands. I got a killer deal on 11 isues for only 40 dorraazz!
