New to 240s. A few Questions while I search

Hi All,

I'm looking to get into the Nissan scene and came across a local car that fits what I'm looking for (RB25DET).

I'll be going to look at the car next weekend but was hoping to have more information when I go to see it. My main concern is the "Mines Tuned ECU". I've asked the seller for more information about "tuned". Should this be an area of concern?

He also states "Ignition switch delay but it will start all the time". Is that a common problem in 240s or should I be concerned?

Someone is going to come in here and flame you for not searching, and to be honest you really should have.

If you're going to be buying a car, which is an investment then you should be willing to actively search out information relative to the purchase so you can ensure you're making a good one.

In any case, considering that the car is swapped with an RB25 that more than likely came from some JDM engine place, I would say the Mine's ECU is probably legit. It's not uncommon for JDM motors to come with mods like that.

As far as the ignition delay goes, I've never hear of such a thing. Sounds like something's broken/wrong, but I don't know.

Ignition switches go bad pretty commonly on 240's, but its a very easy fix. Not a deal breaker.

Thank you for the replies. I realize I took the easy way out by posting this instead of searching. I'll continue my research but I just needed to know if there were any deal breakers before putting significant time into it all.
