dumb S14 question: why am i having difficulty putting stock zenki shocks on my kouki?

hey zilvia,
the search function didn't help me this time, i guess my terms were too general.
i have a set of stock springs/shocks from my zenki, and when i tried to put them on my kouki it seemed like the fronts were too long...
aren't all S14 springs/shocks the same size?
any ideas/suggestions?

Bolt the 3 bolts in the top

bolt the two bolts to the lower hub.

Done.
