I did a search, but couldn't locate any information on this subject. I am in almost done w/ my sr swap and since I got the whole rear subframe assembly w/ my front-end clip I was swapped in the VLSD unit and anti-sway bar. The only problem is the passenger side output shaft from the differential has a slice in the boot closest to the tire. I was wondering if anybody had any info or part numbers on which output shaft I could use. It has a five-bolt pattern similar to the 300zx shaft, not like the 6-bolt pattern the 240 has. the picture from link (http://www.zilvia.net/installs/lsd/lsdswap.asp) shows the 240 half shaft and 300 half shaft. I'm pretty sure I can just switch the output flanges, but I would like to just swap the shafts, since I have the diff already in.
Sorry for the long post, and thanks in advance,

Bill

you must not have searched that hard. the answer to your question is in the VLSD faq I wrote in the faq section. Though I will help you here. You can use a pre 95 J30 axle if you cannot get a replacement boot cover. Though I believe any half way decent auto parts will have a replacement boot for axle bearings
