you can install the J30 VLSD and half shafts this is outlined in the faq section. As far as putting j30 struts in, why? as far as the spindles from the front go no. as far as the rear hubs go yes.

Dave, are you 100% sure on the rear hubs?
I looked at a junkyard J30, and the hubs didn't seem to match.
Maybe it was that they were turned 90degrees to normal position.. but it just didn't seem to match to me.

actually kev you might be right . I have not looked at them in awhile I was just recalling that the J30 rear brakes are the same style as the z32, so I was thinking the hubs might work . I have just not been into getting any of these parts of late so I am rusty on if those hubs will actually work. I am glad you asked .

Why total swap? Because if it would work, one could swap sub frame and all and have it done in no time and have all 'new' parts.

thats actually a lot of extra grunt work. plus just because its a J30 subframe its still used. and I seriously doubt the J30 struts are even the same length. I think you are going to extremes for stock parts. basically you are probably going to upgrade your suspension anyways so the J30 struts would be a big waste of time besides the fact more performance strut options for a S13/s14 than a J30.

thank you for the help. I guess I was off track. I thought that it would have been stronger, hoo knew! So now what would be the best lsd to put in? $325 for a j30 sounds good? Im listening!!!!!

lee, now do you want best LSD or cheapest LSD and remember the z32,j30,140sx lsd's are VLSD's . The best LSD's cost a lot more and come in a number of varieties that are suited to various kinds of driving or use in your car. translation ? what do you want to do with your car? drift? grip? drag? there are several types of lsd and these things have been gone over in previous threads.
I suggest you do a search about them because there is wealth of information here about them. Only you can make the decision on how much you want to spend and what kind will be the best for you use wise and price wise.
