Used Hotshot Headers

Hey,

I'm trying to make my s14 a little quicker with only a little bit of money. I know, I know...cars aren't for the poor...but why not buy a used header and save a few bucks.

Are there any disadvantages to buying a used hotshot header? Just get a new set of gaskets and you should be ok, right?

Pros?...Cons?...Opinions?...

Oh, and anywhere i should look at to try and find a used Hotshot header? Also, are there different generations, or models with different benefits?

just make sure u take a good look at the header before u buy it. u dont want dents. also ask wat version of the hotshot header it is too. because if i remember correctly the early version had bad fitment?

so what version should i get?

The latter version/model had better fitment, and I think was less prone to rust or something. Something about the finish, but Im not too sure on that.

cant you use stock gasket?

stock gasket should work OK, just make sure its in good condition (very good condition)... if not, order a new one.... leaks suck, lol. i have the 2nd gen hotshot, slips in and fits great.... however... good luck gettin your stock manifold off.... lol.
