spring rate help

Hello new guy here, i have omni power adjustable coilovers on my 1990 s13 and the springs are stiffer than a sex addict at a porn convention.

the struts are fine but i would like to go with a more streetable spring rate. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

common S13 spring rate combos:
8Kg/mm front 6kg/mm rear
9kg / 7kg
10kg / 8kg

if u want the standard measure ment .... take the kg number and x12 = bingo

here is what the spring reads. 0178.63.5.010 and the back is 0178.63.5.008 any clues as to what this jibber jabber means? I know that the spring length, diameter, and rate are in there somewhere but i don't speak honda and the stupid omni power site is a little lacking in the info department.

Sorry for the noob questions but this is my first tunner car and i want to get it right and learn all that i can. i have been on a motorcycle for the past three years and before that i owned a 75 vw so......

Oh metric thats right:doh: 0178=length 63.5=diameter 010=rate correct? so i have 10kg fronts and 8kg rear?

Most coils that people use for daily are 8k and 6k so I would see if there are replacement springs you could by or sell the coils and get something not as stiff I have 10k and 8k and I really don't mind it

sounds about right?

you could always try and find a speed shop, or some circle track shop. they usually have a spring compressor to measure car springs.
