KA trans and SR trans are the same.. 4th gear is not longer. A KA trans with an SR bellhousing is just a regular ol SR trans.

I think you're right about 4th being the same in the sr trans and the ka trans.
But I'm pretty sure OD is geared slightly differently.
Here's a snippet from another forum:
The KA and the SR MTs are basically identical. The only difference in the gear ratios is OD; the SR is 0.838, the KA is 0.759. To install the KA MT on the SR block, use the SR bellhousing in place of the KA bellhousing.

I read that too. Whats "OD?" Is that supposed to be "FD," for Final Drive?
