Always thought it was going to be kids who new nothing about cars who would overboost and mess up the cars, but I guess Dodge beat em too it :p.

lol. that's what happens when u make a pos car and try to jump into the sports field. Guess that's why people still buy wrxs and evos

Neon + Turbo = Junk

i love these quotes

"I'd say we've taken in well over 100 [SRT-4's] that have no chance of ever running again"

"it seems like all of them just stopped workin' at around eight or 9000 miles."

HAHAHAHA!! cheap POS

Ok, I'll be the :mrmeph: and rain on your parade. The article is fake, and that's not a real CNN site :D. Try and click on any of the buttons on the left. Also, note the crappy writing style (CNN using the word "huge"??? Come on, now), the crappy res. pic, expressly calling the car an "SRT-4" and not a Neon (would the general public know what an SRT-4 is?). The most important clue is the web address (cnn.heavyplasma.com.

haha that page got me for a min. :D

hehe, it's funny what lengths jealous WRX owners will go to defend their cars from something that's cheaper and faster. Look through the rest of the site...

A 2.4L engine with a decently sized turbo dropped in a chassis that's had a long history of road racing and autocross victories... from a company that built more turbocharged 4cyl engines than any other car company, ever... those engines having their own long history of drag racing dominance... yeah, what a POS

Roots. Respect.

aaah damnit. <- owned. too bad that wasnt true :(

neon is still a pos though. I dunnow about the sti, but our friend's neon was in our driveway for repairs more often then my escort, which is a pos by default. And the neon is a year younger. not hating on dodge in its entirety, but from personal experience, neons SUCK

PS. i'm not a wrx or evo owner, and don't like them either.

That and it reads like it was written by a 3rd grader.

One Neon was up for repairs... sample size of one! What a relevant and well-founded statistic you've got, there. :p

They made a turbo Metro in Canada, it was called the Pontiac Firefly.

It used the engine from the old Chevy Sprint turbo in the newer body. 1.0L 3cyl with a turbo, somewhere around 100hp.
