i've got a set of shocks and springs on the way and i figured while i was at it i would upgrade the suspension bushings too. just my luck, PDM is running a group buy now. is there anything else i should do other than their bushing package? bushing package (http://www.pdm-racing.com/specials/specials.html#bushings) should i get new ball joints too? i don't think mine are bad, but it doesn't look like they have any upgrades for the S13.
my main question is this, are these the same thing? which one is better? Greg Dupree spacers (http://www.zilvia.net/reviews/showproduct.php?product=4&sort=1&thecat=57) Whiteline spacers (http://www.zilvia.net/reviews/showproduct.php?product=66&sort=1&thecat=57) i always thought they were the same thing, but why do you get 4 of one and 6 of the other?

4 is excellent for more rear stability/hadnling and it is most nuetral. your handing will be better and like stock but firmer
the 6 is good for tweaking...for setting up for drag grip or drift
the dupree ones are most nuetral and extremely effective.

dousan, you are just a wealth of useful information, thank you. i think i will go with greg's.
what else should i do, ball joints? tie rod ends? my suspension isn't problematic, just the occasional clunk or pop, but i want the car to be tight. sway bars are stage two so don't worry about that.

dont worry about sway bars, get all your bushings replace ball joints tie rod ends and all that hoopla
car will be firmer and more responsive.
dont forget you WILL need a full alignment when its all bee installed.
get a hydraulic press here and u can do all the work yourself without paying someone!!!! :)

one sort of random question. my rear end, well, my car's, not mine, sometimes does a little waggle as i come out of a turn. when i make a fairly sharp turn pretty hard the rear end swings out a little, (i seem to remember hearing about passive rear steer somewhere) as i come out of the turn if i straighten out really fast the rear end kind of catches and wiggles a little. is that normal or is something loose back there?
does anyone know of any upgraded ball joints or tie rod ends, the only ones i've seen for an S13 are on PDM and those look like stock replacement parts.

well rear end has no tie rod ends
rear does have ball joint: upgrade entire arm=nismo $$$
front tie rod ends: upgrade--MOog (cheap) Kazama $$$$
squirlyness could be a variety of factors, but prbably bushings and your toe link is lose and your rear toe changes make the car squirly

Just to let you know, i had some rear end squirlyness before. I think it had to do with the fact that my rear shocks were blown. I installed an eibach pro kit with koni yellows and GD subframe spacers and now it's solid. The spacers really help to get rid of that rear end squat. Good upgrade and cheap too.

Hey man I'm from Toledo too. I'm living there all summer and would love to talk to you about your setup with your 240. I just bought a 240 in the middle of June and need help and advice. email or pm me or just give me a response from this post.
