I dont think we need to tell you that mods dont improve the value of a car. If you want to get back what you put into it, you need to part it out. You very well may have spent $2500 on the stereo, but I promise you- that added $0 to the value of the car. Paint is another one of those things. A really nice paintjob will help you sell a car.. but you cant tack on the full cost of the paintjob onto the price and expect it to be kosher.

Im not trying to poo on your thread, just offering my advice in your situation because while I do agree that the car isnt worth 7k, It appears youre pretty set on that, which is completely understandable. My recommendation would be to part out things like the wheels and stereo, and sell the car at a lower price. Nobody will pay retail for second hand electronics when buying a car, but sold separately, youll be much more likely to get most of your money back. That being said, GLWS and nice vert. :)
