View Full Version : Pusher electric fan(s) only?

Hello.
Is anyone on here using only pusher fans to keep their KA/SR cool?
Obviously, I am aware that pusher fans are generally not as efficient as puller fans. I am just curious if they would be efficient enough to keep the motor reasonably cool.

My reason for doing so is mainly just to make the engine bay more 'tucked' and empty. I know that may sound silly, but it is just an N/A KA which does not really see any hard driving, and I am having fun tinkering with it doing little things like this.

Until now I have been using a single reversible 14" fan as a puller with no problems. I am not sure if using it alone as a pusher would be enough. However, I am considering buying a reversible 12" fan and using it on the intake side while using the 14" on the exhaust side, both as pushers. Would this be sufficient, or is it still a bad idea?

Thank you for any information.
