for a z32/j30 ignitor its very simple...
one side has 7 pins, one has 6. The side with 7 pins is the side that goes towards the ecu, side with 6 goes to motor. That extra wire is a ground. This extra wire is the center wire on the ecu side.
You can wire up the coils in any manner you wish as long as they are lined up on the ignitor. By this, I mean that if cyl 1 comes in on the far left pin, it needs to exit the far left pin on the other side of the ignitor. You could do them in a cyl 1,3,2,4 order or whatever it doesn't matter as long as they are lined up. This is because the ignitor merely amps the signal, it doesn't need a particular order of wires. wire coming in feeds signal for that cylinder to fire, the wire on the other side gets amped signal to fire. its that easy.
So, basically.. you're wiring should look like this....
[motor side]
cyl 1 cyl 2 cyl 3 cyl 4 (blank) (blank)
---------------------ignitor------------------------
cyl 1 cyl 2 cyl 3 Ground cyl 4 (blank) (blank)
[ecu side]
wire colors dont mean jack. just line them up
