just wondering who rides in this forum? well here little about me i just started maybe 6 months ago. so far i've been putting down about 20-40 miles a week. i got a single speed leader ld-720tr. show me what you got. maybe we can do a gear head ride. lol.

i've got a miyata valley runner 15 spd that i never ride.
and
a 1984 schwinn single speed that i ride between 10-20 miles almost daily.

i ride from my house, down to superior x pch, then up the boardwalk to the hb pier and sometimes up to bolsa chica, then down to the balboa pier, and back to my house.
pretty much guaranteed to be some serious (oYo) down there running or biking or playing volleyball. is good time.

damn.! crazy fast!:coold: i need to check out a gear bike soon. let me try that 40+ mile/hr. i've only gone 32mile/hr on my fixed. and i thought that's fast. that route looks pretty intense.

I want to go out to alpine and do some of those rides that you read stories about "40 miles and only seeing 5 cars on the road) type stuff.

a good ride would be start in coronado, down the bikepath all the way into national city, then turn around and go back. thats probably 50miles all bikepath, or id be down to meet somewhere and ride someplace new.

oh and your sig, what do you do in the Navy?

yes its an app called cyclemeter.

i just turn it on when i ride.. keeps track of all that jazz.

i have a bike computer that i use for current speed and cadence. i just use the phone app to track my route and i check it out when im done.

Los angeles critical mass is dead.. :( cops are pretty much leading the ride, not corking, and making us stop at reds.. Plus, we can't cork ourselves or they'll give us tickets.. I mean im glad the cops are on the ride to prevent stupid shit from happening like vandalism, theft, and just stupid idiots.. They need to continue to keep the ride alive though, Stopping at red lights with a 1-2 mile stretch of bikers will just cause more traffic..
