Ok guys i've searched here and on google to find the same issue but no response on the fix. I have a 240z with the sr20det blacktop, the car sat for over 4 years and I just got it running a couple weeks ago. I installed a wideband o2 to keep tabs on my AFr's and yea run way too rich, idle is not too bad at about 13.5 but once I give it a slight raise in rpm i'm looking at 12.1 to about 11ish. I cleaned my MAF sensor, cleaned the AICV, swapped my FPR for the NISMO and i'm still getting 100 psi, my gauge pegs out at max. I checked to see if my return line was clogged and its free. My last resort was to check my pump (walbro GSL392 255lph) and its pushing 100+psi right from the outlet. Funny cause on the pump housing it says 60 psi max. Is my fuel pump the culprit here? The engine is stock with the 370cc injectors the only upgrade is the walbro pump and Nismo fpr, I even ran the engine with no fuel regulator just a hose and still 100psi+. Was even thinking my return line was too small, seriously it's like an 1/8" stock 240z crap. I bypassed it to rule it out with a hose straight from the FPR to a gallon. I'm stumped guys, yes the pump as for the rest of the car sat for over 4 years. This is my first post on here and yes I searched with no luck.

Wow.. 100psi. Start with a good know stock FPR and if your gauge still reads high then most likely your gauge sensor is not good. FP just pushes fuel its the FPR job to regulate pressure. Your Nismo FPR may need to be adjusted as well. If you need help with these LMK.

I did adjust the nismo FPR as low as it will allow before the screw comes out. I thought maybe my gauge was jacked but used my buddy's snap on kit and it pegged his out too. My FP is pushing out 100 psi and I know it should be more like 50-60psi. I'm thinking my pump is screwed up.

Return line is clogged/blocked.

Nope return line is free of restrictions, I also bypassed the line to test. Same results.

try turning then FPR adjustment the other way.. screw in (instead of out) - sounds like you are turning up the psi (allowing full flow - just how it is without a fpr)

So you're telling me you put a fuel pressure gauge on the supply line, and a hose on the end of the fuel rail feeding into a bucket, and you see 100psi?
Then your fuel rail is blocked/clogged

I did go both ways, screwing it increases psi. If I screw it out like I did it allows more pressure to return and so it drops the psi in the fuel rail. I'm thinking it's the pump but don't want to buy one, try it out and I can't return it. But yes I tried going both ways.

That's how I did it, I filled that gallon up pretty quick. It flows pretty good. If the pump says max 60psi how can it put out 100psi straight from the FP outlet?

at 90psi, you're at 150LPH, which is 0.625 GPM.
So that'd fill up a gallon in under 2 minutes.
The pump is rated at 60psi because that's the design limit. Your car has a speedo of 120mph - does that mean it will never exceed that?

ok, so I got another pump and still crazy PSI. I even ordered a Mac tools fuel gauge and its reading 117ish psi. Now i'm lost, maybe the feed line is too small but even if I up'd the size I don't think it would get me down to 36psi. This is with the adjustment all the way out on the Nismo FPR.

i think this pump is just way too much for this engine with 370cc injectors. Most every sr20det I see is running the walbro 255 why am I the only one with this issue?...

Because your pump has 24 volts going to it.

Hmm well even with the battery at under 7v cause it didn't have enough to even turn the crank over once I still got 95 psi. Well hell I hope it's just the way it's wired. The swap shop did the install on it and I'm waiting on a response. Yea makes no sense to run it that high running totally stock. I'll let you guys know. Thanks
