The car is a 1996 M3 and has had a lot of maintenance and upgrades completed. The car was bought in 2005 for $10900 out of Greensboro NC. We bought it as a new project to replace the 92’ SR20DET 240sx that I had. What we have done with the car is listed below.

The car is available to be seen in Blacksburg, VA (Virginia Tech)
The car has a FRESH Virginia Inspection and brand new rear tires and is ready to be driven anywhere!
$5000 (reduced from $5500)

I feel that our price of $5000 is very reasonable. There are still plenty of them selling for 9-12k in much better condition, and I feel my price reflects the cosmetic work it needs while still being a mechanically good car. The car runs and drives excellent. It has been sitting for a long time but I have been dirivng it around for the past few days. It fires right up and still runs like it did the day I got it. No weird noises or anything like that other than some Vanos noise, which we all know is common on tons of these. Sometimes I feel like I can hear the sway bar end links as well, so they could possibly need replaced. Everything else on the suspension is new and a-ok. The brakes work excellent with new rotors and slides on the calipers. I did have a caliper stick on me once the other day, however I through it in reverse for 10 feet and it hasn’t done it since. I imagine it was just where it was sitting. The body has a few misc dings on it, the front bumper needs repaired, which is pictured. The rear diffuser is missing, as well as the front fender liners and under panel. Had planned on buying new liners and a metal under panel but a new baby and engagement has put modifying cars on hold!!!! Which is why I want to sell my M3. My loss is your gain. The interior is pretty nice, but the headliner is completely fallen down, and the drivers seat is pretty worn out. The hood release handle is also broken, but It can still be opened easily. Lastly I would prefer to sell the car w/o a cd player, however if someone desperately wanted one, we could probably work it out!!

Same here... Your front seats do not look like M3 seats at all....

Dont comment in a thread unless you know what you're talking about. You're hurting a sale for me, without any consequences for yourself. Do research before you try to shoot someone down.

1.Car is a genuine M3. M3's in the US didnt get ITB's until the e46 body style. In europe only did e36's have itbs. The U.S.

2. M3 Luxury packages got the more comfortable Sport Seats instead of the crazy Vader seats with the M stripes. Luxury packages also got the dash, door panels and console covered in premium nappa leather instead of the cheap shit in normal M3's

The motor that peter poted above is a European e36 M3's also known as an s50b32 or an s50b30(depending on year). Mine is the S52 3.2 liter. 328is came with the M52. ITB's were NEVER SOLD IN THE US....EVER (until 2001)!!

I have been looking for M3 my self and all of them I saw had those seats...
that is why assumed something is weird..

and Engine part.. I edited my question because I actually found out ITBs never came in US until 2001 like you said..

Apologies, but I was honestly curious about the seats...

Will you be able to meet up somewhere closer to West ??? If I decide to buy it ?

I could come to the Kentuckey/West Virginia border near Marshall University/Ashland Kentuckey. That's about 3.5 hours for me. I know it would be a lot longer for you though...lol

oh yea and on the seats... although my drivers is worn.. the Luxury seats are much more comfortable than the Vaders... Ive never owned vaders but ive sat in them a lot... they are pretty uncomfortable for me and im only 5'10 about 165. The Lux seats are a lt more cusioned!!
