Basically...
s13, just swapped in an s14 subframe.
so i have s13 pumpkin with a kaaz LSD and an s14 Rear cover.
i put a hose on the breather and wraapped it around in circles arounda brake line or something, then ziptied it up.
wellllllll
drove it for like 20 minutes today, then put my car on the alignment rack.
there is fluid pouring out of the breather... its on my axle and subframe.
kaaz fluid is expensive.
WHY IS IT SHOOTING OUT OF THE BREATHER.
and the diff is NOT overfilled.... filled with fluid put the car level, let excess spill out. then put the fill plug back in.
PLEASE, help me haha

Is it the stock s14 cover or something like a Greddy?
I've only heard of this problem with the Greddy style covers or overfilling.

It is a stock s14 cover... its weird, and lame.
kaaz fluid is expensive, and kaaz diffs are more expensive when they blow up because lack of fluid.

How bad would it be to block this breather off............. Sounds like a horrible idea, im sure it is there for a reason.
but really... wtf

Blocking the breather will most likely blow the seals.
Lack of fluid will burn out the bearings before anything... it's happened to me.
Maybe the nipple piece is clogged slightly building pressure? Could try swapping covers or even uprgrade to a z32 n/a or jdm vlsd finned cover.

Change the cover to a bigger one with the cooling fins

sidedrifts... i have no idea how that would solvemy problem lol.
and this is a viscous s14 diff cover, cooling fins and stuff.
if the breather was clogged, wouldnt stuff NOT come out?
damn this is lame...
im probably going to rig up some catch tank that will let the oil drain back into the diff....

I was thinking maybe it's slightly clogged..... just enough to build some pressure but not enough to completely clog... just a thought.
Maybe you are missing the splash guard that mounts on the inside of the diff cover?

you put a hose on the breather and wrapped it around the brake line, why dont you put the hose on a high point under the car and dont wrap it and make sure its pointing up

there is only ONE splash guard right? and that is the one that goes over the drain plug area correct?
and yeah, thats what i was planning on doing....
im making a little catch can that willow allow the oil to go back into the diff if it actually gets all the way up the line... which i REALLY hope it does not lol

^here's a pic of a z32 n/a cover... s14 should be similar.... just the one splash guard.
I'd try doing what the other guys suggested and just shorten/point the hose up without the loop before making a catch can setup.

Weird, same thing happened to me at ASB. Oil spewing from breather, but I'm assuming it's because it was running super hot. Weird how just driving it would cause pressure build up.

I am not down to drop the diff again.... or spend more money right now...
making a catch can/breather thing for like 3 dollars and calling it a day FOR NOW.

Did you ever resolve this issue? I'm loosing oil from my breather after installing a Kaaz on my S14 R200. Have recently fitted a Greddy plate but it's still coming out. I'm considering a catch can or even, belts and braces, running a cooler again. Nissan must've fitted it for a reason.
