Me and tofu got there late on saterday, and missed the trip to d&b but we found some local 240 owners who came late and went to the street races. All in all, a lot of fun :D

The trip was long and I still have to go back, it'll be about 2200 miles total when i get home.

The car held together so far, even after overheating and going off-road on the mountain.

Haha, i went off to avoid the guys who had dead stopped right after a blind turn. Someone should have some pics of that. By far not the worst incident of the day though.

The car handled pretty well at first. We set the rear tire pressure lower to make up for my neg rear camber, and the car actually understeered slightly and was pretty stable.

By the down hill my tires were totally greasey and had no grip whatsoever. Stock brakes were fading after 3 turns. This had really high speed banked turns and it just ate peoples tires and brakes for breakfast.

seems like geske told the "friendly" version of waht happened, heres what really happened:

me and geske left from my place at about 7am going about 110mph, cuz geske believed there was a "free" lunch:rolleyes: and didnt want to miss it. when we finally got there we were like wtf where is it...passing "cronic nissan" and "badcocks and more" made the day right there :rofl: we passed by an autozone and saw a s13 with jersey tags so we were like ****it, geske did a spin, landed in a mud pit, almost knocked down the only street sign the intire town had, turned out the car belonged to the mighty "asad" :eek: . and he told us how to get to the hotal.
after lunch every1 was suppose to go to this arcade thinggy, but when we got back every1 ****ING DITCHED US (:squint: chimp, steele) so we're kinda like damn....but then sum logals showed up late and broguht us to the other arcade place...wrong one...PACKED WITH JAIL BAIT! (in 15 i swear!) we were like **** it...they had nice cars no1 really got to see...perfect silvia swaps! :O so we went to the illegal drag racing, were we got to see the great georgia "drifter" and a matrix *** blocked ur friends 343hp sr powred silva...after he was given a car lenght rolling start! he was talking mad **** too...in a jamacan accent :rofl: when we got back we found out every1 spent the day drinking and listening to porn stories read to them (:doh: missed it)
sunday was cool, got like 5 6packs or random soda from big lots at 70 cents a pack, headed to the mountain place thinggy, kept getting lost :bash:. anyhow we got there and like that was sum good ****, tight turns added with tilted rounds and a sum oncoming trafic and ut got a 2000mile worth trip!!! :bowdown: :cool: :boink: , in the 1st part we were doing the turns hard, we triped the posted speed limited in like 2 of the turns, and geske used his breaks only to not hit the guy in front, which didnt want to hit the guy infrom of him :p ,like geske said we went off road and i had to push his car back on the road, then we almost died from all 4 tires losing it (gay compound) the 2nd have the tires couldnt haddel it..plus we were low on gas and we didnt feel like walking 900 miles home, so we actually used the break :eek: a few miles down, russ (the guy the organized the meet, and with the s14 with every ****ing suspension part possible :eek3:, robby robby) lost control in a really wide turn, no1 knows how and went into a ditch. no real damage. the rest of the day was just driving home.. we missed our turn and made our trip an hour more :wtc: but where home now and im about to hit the shwoer

i was actualy quite impressed with geske's car, it held to the ground stiff as hell, only problem was the tires, by the second part they were greese and we lose the backs in every turn , mad drifter yo!, the car did turnes and handels quite well. good thing i wasnt driving tho, cuz we would not be back yet...its a long walk! :p those trees were just calling my name!, they wanted me to hit them hard!:boink: :spank: if u know waht i mean! :drool:

Seriously, the Sunday afternoon mountain run was merely one shining highlight of a great weekend. From running in a 13-car pack down I-85 Friday, to putting faces and personalities with screen names and making new friends, to the storming trip home through the mountains of northern GA and SC (with almost all the same folks from the original caravan), the convention was an absolute blast. Of course, I now have a serious case of turbo envy...

I'd love to have a meet with this crew again sometime. To those of you who wanted to come but couldn't for whatever reason, you missed a great time and were missed. The rest of you should wear your collars high and beware of sporks.

yea, the convention was great. my friend should have a bunch of pics. i'll see if i can get a hold of those. overall i thought it was a pretty successful meet, although more cars would've been nice... still, great to meet everyone.

Yeah its cool tho, because:

1. We are both broke *** mofos who need to save our quarters.

2. We got to see 2 really nice cars of these local guys that came late.

My pics (five 24-shot rolls worth; 36s are getting damn hard to find) are being developed right now. I'll pick 'em up in the morning, pick some of the good ones and scan them puppies. And, oh yeah, set up an account to post and share the images. Got to get off my lazy bum and build myself a real-live site someday, too.

The one I REALLY hope turns out well is cruising down I-985 at 82 mph with Steeles at my 10 o'clock and two other 240s in front of us, speedo in full view. That was tricky to shoot, with a 2-pound 35mm SLR in my hands and a knee on the wheel.

Next photo-gadgets to buy: film scanner, small-yet-kickazz digicam.

Yes....but I'm comparing them to the Z32TT wheels that I plan on using with my S13...and I unfortunately for me I like the looks of the SE wheels better...but the TT rears are 8.5 ...so I'm going with those for now.
