If anyone has done this what did you use? I was thinking about a hole saw, but I don't know if it would mess up the outer area. I was also thinking to mark the hole, drill a pilot and cut out to the circle. Then use a hobby knife to trim the pieces off. It would take longer but I think it would give me better peice of mind. So, any input on these methods is welcome. As well as any other ways to do it.

I just did this to my car came out pretty nice. What i did was i drilled a hole in the middle big enough to get a jigsaw in and cut the circle with the saw. And then filled down the edges until the tweeter fit in. Really easy just time consuming. Any more questions just ask.

That's quite similar to what I did. I believe that's the best what to do it.

Hookedup240, that looks good man. In actuality, all methods would work to acheive the intended goal. HOwever, the hole saw will rip the plastic on the door and from the heat, possibly melt or deform the outer lying area. Measure twice, cut once.

Go go gadget hole saw!!
I used a hole saw without trouble. Use it gently enough, and it won't tear things up. I took it from behind too, so it would be less likely to rip up the plastic

Thanks for the replys. On a side note, where did you guys mount your crossovers? In my door there is the little cutout that mine fits into. I think I'm just gonna secure it with some string or something else, in that cutout.
