Hey everyone,
So i have everything ready to swap the brakes on my S14, I got a few questions though that remain unanswered. I have read the Defintive 300zx swap several times, but i am confused about the fitting in the Master Cylinder. I have read different things saying that i need the 240s fitting from the original master cylinder, but i have also read that if you have ABS brakes that you do not need the fitting. If somebody can clear that up for me that would be great.
Thank you

If you have abs, and you are installing a 300zx master cylinder, you do not need the fitting. ABS cars have one front line and one rear line. The front line goes to the abs and splits to the left and right calipers from there.

Alright cool thanks for clearing that up for me. Now could someone tell me what is the best caliper rebuild kit, one from the dealer or the one from z1motorsports or is there a difference? Thanks!

Yep there all the same. And it's def easy to rebuild... Hardest part is probably getting the pistons out

Ah I see ok sounds good. But I have heard that the pistons are hard. I should be fine with the current pistons though as long as they are in good shape right?

Yea you should be fine with the current pistons. When I rebuilt mines...the seal inside was still in great shape. But it's always recommended to rebuild them cuz these are like 18 year old brakes. Just remember they are the ones that are going top stop your car so I wouldn't gimp out on it.

"do it once,do it right..."

Yeah that is one reason why I plan on rebuilding them (because they are old) plus they look like they could use it. But I plan to try and make it perfect when I rebuild them so it is done right and doesn't effect me in the future. Thanks for all the input from everyone, you have all been very helpful, thanks!!!

Got my rebuild kit from Courtesyparts and RHD japan. Compressed air with the right sized piece of wood between the pistons works great on getting them out.

Alright, I got the pistons out. Anybody have any tricks to getting the seals out of inside the cylinders? I dont want to scratch the cylinder walls. Also anyone know how much the calipers cost to get them powder coated?

Just used a metal pick similar to ones used at a dentist office
