does the brand matter at all, like say a $26 ebay one and a $180 Cusco one? i wouldnt think so... also what about the triangular ones? do they help that much?

Strut bars are strut bars. Save your money for really important stuf. Buy the cheaper strut bars and you'll be just fine.

i say pay th emoney
look at the welds, the meat on the stb, the ends on them, the fitment

cusco is worth the money

the ebay stuff is junk. poor quality sometimes poor fitment, one my friend had hits his brake mc. the welds are poor quality and the materials are junk.

you get what you pay for

JIC makes pretty good quality
just their US office people suck
but the quality is quite good for the most part.

I know no one personally who has had ANY trouble with ebay strut bars. There are so many things more worthy of money than strut bars. You can get by just fine with the. Save the money now...get the cheaper strut bars...spend your money on other more vital stuff...and IF you feel the need later for more expensive strut bars get them later...NOT before you get the really vital stuff.

Strut tower bars really are too simple to fudge up on accident. As I see it, if the fitament is right, you are good. I won't deny that you can find some absolute crap on eBay, but I reall hear few complaints --especially for the prices.

Being in Japan will hinder knowledge? Don't be an ***! People here buy off ebay just like people in other places. Maybe you should try a little research on your own...might get a new perspective and you might learn something.

Well to put this in perspective I bought an Avance strut bar, its just like Cusco or JIC. The bar is really nice and high quality, however it also hits my brake MC cylinder. It kinda barely nudges it. It really doesn't make a difference to me cause its fine. Obviously the JDM ones are made for SR car in mind which sit lower and more back. Personally I just like the way the higher quality bars look. Thats the only reason I have the nice bar in the engine bay, and then I just have a generic in the rear. However I may have to match them soon, again for looks.

Oh yea, but dousan as the EXACT same bar, and his clears everything fine. WEIRD!
