i recently buy it and doesn't accelerate after 4000 rpm.

it's a 240sx S14 95' with ka24de.

help :(

Check the connections to and/or your Mass Airflow Sensor.

Could also be timing issue what shape was the vehicle/engine in when you first drove car?

MAF, but also check catalytic converter. Backpressure can cause this as well.

I would first check the ecu for codes. 95's have obd1 and obd2 connectors. You can go to your local auto parts to have the codes checked for "FREE". On a 95 240sx the obd2 connector is on the passenger side just to the right of the radio. The obd1 connector is on the driver side near the fuse box. If you don't have any fault codes set then it's going to be hard to diagnose. Probably going to be the maf sensor or your knock sensor.

Just like most responses on here man check your MAF also timing too.

that's a pretty vague problem. for all we know the carpet is bunched up under the gas pedal.

Dont mean to highjack ur thread, but i have 1 question. is it just me or ka24de's are hard to get to redline? like above 6k rpm.. anyone?
