More info to come in a few minutes, but here is a rundown...
HICAS Swaybar - Very good upgrade, made my wife's otherwise stock 240sx actually tail happy :)
HICAS steering rack - Waste-o-Time Did absolutely nothing performance wise, however it did make my steering feel substantially better because this rack only had 50k miles on it compared to +200k of the old one. I guess the old lore about the HICAS rack being quicker was just a bunch of malarkey.
Bbandit, you want to fill in a bit of info?

installation difficulty = 5 out of ten... well.. more like 3 out of ten
but it did took us a good 5 hours to get it done (including breaks and some grinding)
but yea the turning radius is quite the same as before
and the angle of the pinion rack is slightly different
we need to get the car run at either autoX or drift event and see if we can feel any differences (hopefully)
but for now, no differences.. well it felt tighter than before because of the lower mileage
any input from you guys that have done this?

man, I guess I didn't miss anything. Well at least yall worked on the car. I raised the car up and everything is fine now. Well I guess it is good that yall did the install so that nobody else will waste their time and money.

I've been really interested in installing the HICAS rack. I've just been waiting to raise enough money to do the tie rods and end links at the same time. It has to be a little more responsive because the ratios are different. Has anyone else done it? Society Mike says it works so what's goin on here? Did you compare the amount of turns from lock to lock.

keyy--- but is the ratio quicker? You should have less turns to full lock now. Thats what we are intrested in. You will not get a better turn radius from the hicas rack.

If you were looking to get a better turning radius, you should have gotten adjustable tie rods.

no, it doesn't appear to be less turns lock to lock. It is just under 3 full turns from lock to lock... I dunno man, maybe I got screwed or something?
