I did a pretty vigorious search on the forum about this matter and didnt find anything I was looking for, so here's the question.
I Have a 91 240sx Hatch that was equipted with HICAS. I replaced the rear subframe with a NON-HICAS subframe, and while i was doing that, i installed the PBM Rear subframe risers. The problem i'm having now is the the driveshaft doesnt go all the way into the transmission as it did before(about 1 inch sticks out of the tranny than used to). At first i was thinking that possibly the design on the non hicas subframe was different from the hicas subframe, but i never heard of such a thing. So now i'm thinking its because of the Subframe risers.
My question is, will this cause any damage or problems with the driveshaft sticking approx 1 inch out of the tranny(instead of it going completly in as it used to)? I drove the car about 4 miles to my house, but i wasnt putting any power into the car being afraid of this causing any damage. Let me know if anyone has experienced this or knows anything on the matter. Thanks.
