I know there are probably some threads on this, but I searched around and didn't see much and need a quick answer.
I am wanting to get some 17x9.5 et15 mb battles for my s14 with a stock body and aftermarket struts/ lowering springs. I know that I may have to roll the fenders a little and everything, but someone was telling me that 9.5 wide wheels will scrape on the struts if you don't have coilovers and that I will need spacers if I use my current suspension setup. The spacers will push them out even further and cause more fitment problems.
I have kyb gr-1 struts with rsr race springs. Does anyone know if the 9.5 battles will scrape on the struts? Also, I heard that they dont fit well in the front. I have seen many s13/s14's with the same size mb battles but I am not sure about there setup so it would be great if I could get some help.

You can only fit 7 inch wide wheels w/ struts. 50mm spacers if you want wider. Tub the fenders too.

Totally sucks.

Yes you will need coilovers to fit those wheels.

I'm running 18x9.5s XXR 522s on my S14. I'm running coilovers, but I did have to add a spacer up front. Rear fitment shouldn't be a problem

i have an s14 stock fenders, no fender pull with 7.5 inch in fronts and 9 in rear 18 inch motegi touges and the front dont rub one bit on 225/35/18's. the rears are 225/40/18 and im sitting on stock replacement struts and a 2 inch drop from lowering springs. talk to someone who has done it before, not people who just emphasize their opinion

I have 18x 8.5 + 35 and 18x9.5 +35 in the rear and they fit..I have kyb with springs...and rear fits perfect and front fits to..its like a pinky from the strut but I've been like that for 2 years and no prblem..but since ur off set is lower ur wheel will stick out more to the fender..but I think you should be good

finally some proof on the spring/strut assembly that can back what im saying! thanks nismo240sx! see so your good, if your offset is lower and the rim sticks out further just get narrower width tires. a 215/40 should tuck great but since your running 17's, instead of 18's like me and nismo, than the camber should clear your fender by the time your car starts to squat.
