new taping noise

well im new here but have been looking over alot of the posts and have found alot of good info. :bash: well it seems like i fix one thing and something else goes wrong......1st noise in drive shaft. fixed that and now a very loud tap from under valve cover. got to work and desided to pull off the cover to take a peak and see if it was fixable. well on the intake side of my motor one of the little puck type things that sits above the valve spring is gone so the rocker arm is not siting right. any one ever have this happen and is it possible to put one back in with out pulling off the whole cam.
thanks for any help and it is on a 96 s13 blacktop on cyl 3 intake side.

i believe you are talking about the valve bucket
and i think the answer to the repair question is no i am rather sure you would need to disassemble the valve train to get down in there to put the new bucket on
the better question is if it is not on the spring and this sound just showed up where the hell did it go
