i have a manual driveshaft thatw as given to me. the only problem is that the carrier bearing is bad. but i have a auto driveshaft with a good carrier bearing so iwas wondering is there anyway i could switch the 2 and if there is could somebody explain the process in doing that. thank you

Check Advanced Auto, Oreilly auto and or Autozone and first confirm if they part number for both manual and automatic transmission drive shafts is the same.

If it is, you are once step closer.

You can also go with a single piece and make your life easier, but at Z1 Auto that will set you back $300 in your hands.

ok i will check on the parts number today. im just wanting to see if i can get it fixed since i got the driveshaft for free.

RockAuto.Com does not have a separate listing for automatic and manual transmission carrier bearings. They should be the same.

I took a auto one to a shop and had them press it off and press it onto the manual shaft.

Its not suppose to work, or at least thats what everyone said, but its been 3 years and its fine.

hey im just curious do you remeber how much it cost you to get the bearing pressed on there
