You're new around here. I suggest you take suggestions. In other words type so we can read it. Then you will get answers.

Oh and when people give you advice about how to do things, you don't call them dicks and tell them to fuck off.

alright fine lets put it this way its a diy project and i want some diy answers thank you for ur input but i want to do it myself instead of paying someone. Long story short the oem harness isnt getting power except for the illumination wire, would i have to wire my own power source for my aftermarket head unit? this is for the premium audio package.

sounds like you don't really know what your doing but ill help you get to the next step and see where that takes you.

if you dont have any constant power, instead of running your own constant power, you should first start with the fuse box (driver kick panel) and check all your fuses with a test light that you can buy at any electronics store or even your local auto parts store for under $10. make sure your key is in and your car is on accessory when you check the fuses.

i purchased my s14 with the "premium audio package" a couple weeks ago and unfortunately it didnt have a radio installed so i figured no problem but once i actually checked the wiring i was confused from the very start so i went looking around on the net for some help but none of them answer particularly to my problem, apparently the last owner had used his own custom speaker wires for the speakers and it has aftermarket pioneer speakers which all work fine after testing them with a battery, the oem harness is still there but there are a couple wires messed up on it, the orange and green wire has been cut and was not connected back together and a blue wire was cut and twisted back together i tried using a multimeter to see if they were getting the 12 volts but they werent getting anything the only wire that was getting some power was the illumination wire which is the red and blue wire, i had replaced the fuses in the kick panel and the fuse box and now my clock works but nothing for the radio, i thought maybe if i were to bypass the amp in the back that would help me but nothing so in the end im just left confused, so im just asking if anyone could help me because riding in silence is no fun

USE A PERIOD KEY YOU FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT !!!

morning guys :)

You added like 1 period. You still have a massive run on sentence, that hurts one head to read.

For example

Long story short the oem harness isn't getting power, except for the illumination wire. Would I have to wire my own power source for my aftermarket head unit?

Notice the comma's were you naturally pause to take a breath. Notice the period after wire and the capitalization of would because you are starting a new sentence with it that is your question separate from the previous sentence.

These little things are what make it easier for us to read your post and answer the question.

Lets look at the first run on sentence as well.

Alright fine, lets put it this way. It is a diy project and I would like some diy answers. Thank you for your input, but I want to do it myself, I don't want to pay someone to do it.

unless the situation is no longer its a present tense situation. You are currently working on it. Was in your previous sentence was past tense.
Notice the comma's and punctuation.

See I can read the above, that I rewrote for you. I can now say that, though you want to do it yourself? You seem to not have the electrical diagnostic background to do it.
Now perhaps do but you have not read up on the cars electrical system. Seriously though, there is a power wire and a ground wire directly in the stock harness going to the stereo plug.

One would suppose if you are getting illumination you are getting power. As there is no such thing as a separate illumination wire in the radio harnesses for our cars. One would next look to the speaker out connections to see if they are wired properly for sound.
One would also look to the antenna connection if you are getting radio dial numbers with the illumination but no sound.
There are several things to check and it could take awhile doing it yourself. Maybe you should pay someone to trouble shoot it.

can anyone tell me how to run my own constant power wire and acc wire?

can anyone tell me how to run my own constant power wire and acc wire?

You need to wire your power (red) wire to something with constant power, such as the battery. Then the ignition (yellow) wire will need to be run to something that turns on when your car turns to ACC, often times this is a cigarette lighter - but if your cigarette lighter can be used with the car off, wire it to something else. Of course, your ground (black) wire, just needs to be grounded to the metal of the car. As far as the rest of the wires go, they need to go to an amp and then from the amp to the speakers, if you want good sound. The HU probably has a built in amp, so if 22 watts is enough for you, you can wire directly to the speakers.

You sound VERY inexperienced at this. I strongly suggest taking it to a professional or getting a professional's help. Fucking something up on your HU can really fuck up a lot of other things on your car, BCM and ECU to name a few.

Finally, please heed everybody's advice. You may be in a rush, but punctuation is just a matter of one button. Take the extra few seconds per post to ensure correct punctuation, and you will get answers quicker than if you don't.
