Up for sale is my 1991 Nissan 240sx fastback. Car is a salvaged title but this was only due to damage on the car that the insurance says was more than the car was worth (small fender bender...literally). So...to make a long story short, bought the car back from insurance and the build began. Car runs great and registration is up to date. I can smog for the buyer as well. Car is pretty darn clean and comes with the extra parts I have laying around. Looking to get $10,000obo...price is not set in stone, obviously. All this car really needs is an SR20DET or turbo charge the KA24DE AND YOU'RE IN BUSINESS!!! And now for the list of mods...

I also marked my asking price in bold as requested. It is a lot but all parts bought were bought brand new. Asking price, like I stated before, are not set in stone. I know my asking price is a bit on the high side but I have seen ugly 240's sell for $3-4K and not even close to the stuff I have on my car nor the clean visual appeal. Really really nice 240, but i do have to agree 10k is pretty damn steep, Especially since its not even turboed or anything like that. Who knows how it looks under that hook even though the appearance is FLAWLESS....I say slap a turbo on this bad boy and you might get your asking price. But w/o a turbo i dont see 8k in this

All this car needs is an SR or a turbo for the KA. Price may be steep but it's my price nontheless. All parts on this car are top quality and not cheap china knock off stuff. I've seen crappy 240's go for 3-4k but with sr20det...whoopty doo! So if I turbo this for $800-$1500 I can get my asking price??? Really?! How about I knock off $1500 and sell as is? BTW, the car will come with SSR Type F's in flat black. Sizing is 18x9.5 +22 front and 18x10.5 +15 rear with Falken 912 tires (225/40/18 front & 235/40/18 rear). Like I said...QUALITY parts!!! Check online to see how much the wheels alone cost...

I forgot to mention that I also purchased and installed brand new OEM Nissan front windshield, left & right door window, and rear hatch window moldings. That alone was about $700 or $800 from the dealer if I remember correctly. I think that the amount of time, effort, and money is worth $10k but thats me. How many of you have replaced your window moldings???

Parts are basically brand new as this car sits in the garage most of the time. I have a daily driver so this car sees the road maybe 3-4 times a month, if that. I appreciate the kind words but once in a blue moon there are people here on Zilvia with money so maybe I am hoping to find that buyer someday (aka wishful thinking). I'm not desperate to sell so it doesnt matter if I sell now or a few months/years from now. If I dont sell at all, I'd rather beat it to sh*t and enjoy the parts I have on this car and sell the car for less at that time.

I have an AE86 that I might sell as well but for prob double what I'm asking for this 240sx. As you can see...I dont cut corners on my builds:

Anybody saying that it's not worth the money just because of no work done to the motor, is a moron. Can't you see that ALL it needs is a motor or turbo setup, and then it can be competition ready?

In the hands of a serious person, this would be a serious competition built car. Not just another car with half-assed body work and a couple bolt on parts here and there, and then throw in an SR and try to sell it for more than it's worth. All of the serious work to this has been done, except the motor. Plus, if it's in the hands of a serious person, they would likely have swapped out the motor or completely re-do it to their liking. This will actually save them a little cash.

The seller usually wants way more than the car is worth (and they probably have a valid argument) ;but everyone wants to buy it for a 'fair'/cheap price.
The build/parts/time price amount is always taken into account when a price is equated. Yes the car is cheaper as a whole than building it up yourself. But fact is no one on here has that kinda cash to throw around.
So you get the redundant end result of having to part out the "drift-ready mega money-pit machine and sell the car as stock. The next buyer then builds it back up to the spec it was at before the part-out and sale began..................

Yeah...I totally feel you on that but if I cant sell it then its not a big deal to me. I'll just hang onto it and track it every so often and enjoy it like I should. The S crowd reminds me so much of the ae86 crowd...no one has money. haha! Its still for sale and price is OR BEST OFFER.
