I was wanting to hook up a aftermarket oil pressure gauge onto my RB motor.
What are you guys using for the oil sending unit? I see a lot of them need an adapter of some sort.
Can some of you guys tell me what your running so I dont end up buying the wrong stuff?
Thanks

Couldnt you just use the sending unit that came with your oil pressure gauge?

I suppose. I didnt know if I buy an electrical gauge if I need to buy any thing else to make it work.
I used to have a Greddy and it had its own sending unit.

use the sending unit that comes with whatever gauge you buy

get an adapter from 1/8" bspt (rb side) to 1/8" npt (universal oil pressure sensor size)

You can also get T adapters that let you run your sensor & a the switch (if you want to keep the idiot light on the dash for low oil pres.) or an oil temp gauge if you want one

what u should do is this...get a 1/8 BSPT to -3AN then run a -3an hose to the sendor for the gauge.....reason being is that vibration will KILL sendors...

and use the sender that comes with the gauge...
