So, I have searched for so long for information on this and I haven't really gotten close to getting any good information, if any for that matter.

Anyways, I have a blacktop SR20 that was wired for a USDM S13 hatch. Took it out of a fastback and I am putting it into a 95 base model S14, automatic. So with that, I will be doing the 5 speed swap as well, but I'm pretty sure I've got most of that down.

The wiring has got me stumped. I don't know where I should start. Will I have to modify the harness a bunch (it would seem like I would..) for this to run in my car? I'm decent at wiring but would love some help on this issue as I would hate to have to buy another harness. Any information would be wonderful.

In a nut shell - what kind of modifications to the harness do I need to do for the engine to work in my 95 S14?

it's pretty simple. You know how the stock sr20 harness has two plugs at the battery/fender area? it's a brown and gray plug? On the s14, the location of these plugs/wires are actually inside the car at the ECU/passenger kick panel. So the idea is that: instead of running the wire normally as the s13 has it. you pull that harness part into the cabin of the car and wire it up to the F3 plug; which is the power plug that gets connected to the chassis harness. I believe it's either blue or white and it has about 20 wires on it. the F3 plug needs to be cut off from the KA s14 engine harness. the s13 dash harness gets wired up to this too.

Because you're not using the ka harness, you have to directly wire up the wiper motor wires to the F3 plug. same goes for the ecu relay.

give this link a read. it's pretty straight forward. all the wires you need to solder actually match up.

^ Thanks for the information and for the help, appreciate it. So even though my harness is modified for the USDM S13 I can go ahead and follow some of the directions there given on that page? Sounds simple enough if that's the case.

yes. the s13 modifications were only made at the gray and brown plug and the dash harness.

You just cut those three plugs off and wire it to the F3 s14 KA power plug.
