Idk if anyone posted the same problem as me but i searched but no answers.

So here it is I have an s13 ka24de and took out the emmisions on the intake manifold side, took out the whole Ac assembly , but my problem is ,that my car will idle at 2,000 rpm (tried adjusting the idle but nothing) and when im driving i can hear like a tapping noise between 2.5 to 4,000 rpm,
Wondering how i can fix it, Thanks in advanceee.:aw:

was your acv working before? you may have to take it off and clean it i had a problem like that a while back i took it off and it was covered in all sorts of crap! cleaned it up and put it back on and i was able to adjust the idle.

What was the reason for taking off the whole emission on intake side?
Which part of emissions did you take off?
Did you plug everything off? Did you plug it off the proper way?

could be a vaccum problem. And as far as the rattling goes was it doing it b4 you removed all the emissions equipment????

i had that problem when i put my header in. we couldent get the egr tube off so we cut it (before i knew what it was) and then my idle was shit untill i pluged it.

The big question that comes to mind is WHY? I wish you guys would realize that the stock emissions do not effectively hurt HP on our engines. You would have been better off putting on a free flowing exhaust and possibly a high flow cat.

Put the emissions stuff back on and your engine will run properly it was designed for it. Plus you are not driving a race car. You seriously will not benefit enough HP( not even a 1-2hp gain LOL) to warrant removing this stuff.

Well i took the emmisions out so i could go Ka-t, and the car was supposed to be my drift car. But the Season ended so im stuck with the problem.
Almost done collecting all my turbo parts.
I plugged the hoses and shit with vacuum caps with clamps

So
*Clean ACV
*Check the EGR.
(EGR is still on couldn't make an EGR Valve)

Wait, so you still have an EGR valve even though you supposedly 'took out the emmisions on the intake manifold side'...

weird?

why don't you just buy the plate that you need for the egr and get rid of all the other crap. is like a 10$ piece of metal that's way over priced. but i guess if you cant make just get one. there's a thread some were on here that goes through what to remove and what to keep. just go by that. im assuming since its your "drift car" you have a daily so its not like its making things inconvenient.
