ok ive dont alittle bit of research
i do know what compresser surge is
i have checked my bov and backed it off as far as it will allow
it does blow off a little pressure after throttle release but i am still getting surge through my air filter
i am running 10psi on the stock t25
the shaft had minamul shaft play when i had the turbo off amonth ago
my gauge is plumbed into the fuel pressure regulater
my bov is recieving vacuum with out any leaks
any thought or comments or links to info would be great

i guess you could call it a flutter it a "shu! shu..shu" if you under stand that. so i would say minor compared to some vidoes i've watch on youtube.
my bov is a cheap greddy knockoff.
the reason i dont think thats the problem is because ive takin it off and felt the spring tension and itis not hard at all
i have checked my bov in operation is releasing pressure about a second before the surge sound comes through the intake.

could be a leak?
Seals could be shotty on the bov.
is it recirculated?
That's how most GReddy BOVs operate, and the knockoffs are usually on the worst side.
I really like my recirculated Bosch type BOV(it's an aluminum bosch type BOV replacement - they're on eBay, do no PM me asking for a link) - made a huge difference on driveability, and it's kind of nice not hearing a super loud BOV on every throttle lift. It got old going around the track with an HKS SSQV. CHEEWWWW!!! CHEEWWW!! Now it's just a mild pssshhhh.

that is flutter. since your set your max at 10 psi, low boost flutter isn't too bad.

i have that exact same bov... it comes with 2 springs in it.theres one thats stiff and one thats soft, once you take the stiff one out it will work perfectly. just need to take those alens off the top peice and it will kind of pop off so be careful and yeah im 100 % sure its those 2 springs. when i got my turbo kit it came with a freddy and i has surge and i thought it was a vacume but i noticed the valve in there was really really hard to push in. Now its only got 1 spring in there and i havent had any trouble with it.
good luck

i ll try removing the spring first see if that helps
if not i will try buying a "quality" bov
will report back if either helps or not

my gauge is plumbed into the fuel pressure regulater
Not that this has anything to do with surge, but dont do this, plumb it directly into the intake manifold.

Cheap way is... you could order Spring from "Greddy" and replace it...
Heard that works ok..

ok,what wrong with plumbing it into the vacuum line to the fuel pressure regulater?

ok i pulled the bov apart and removed the stiffer spring (dont do that waste hours and fuel). replaced the weak spring with the stiffy and all goes pretty well i still have some flutter at low boost release and none at high boost release
still wanna know why its a bad idea to run the boost guage to the fpr

must be a vacume issue then....... Mines t'd off at the manifold and it works fine.
