M'kay. I want more boost :boink:. I don't have much money. So, the situation is this:

1. Build a manual boost controller ($??)
2. Buy a manual boost controller ($10-50)
3. Buy an adjustable wastegate ($55)

I want to know your EDUCATED opinions. I know the facts about these things, so don't bore me with newbie BS :hammer:. Thanks. I want to hear from people who have either built their own or know about building their own...and how much did you spend? As for the wastegate option, I was planning to do that when I put my T28 turbo in, but that's not going to happen this summer.

The easiest options would be the first 2...the difference is minimal. Make it myself or buy one?

OK fooz...your turn. :D

i'd go with door number 2. it's cheap and its definitely going to work good. on my old talon i used an MBC from www.boostvalve.com (iirc) and it was awesome. it held up to 25 pounds of boost with no leakage. the best part about it is if boost does start to leak, shoot some carb cleaner into it and problem is solved. i'd def buy a MBC. i think the one from boostvalve is like $40.

OK...but what about the fact that those controllers are essentially the same thing that I can just make in a couple of hours? What then? I can probably buy the parts for about $15 and just make it myself....

make it yourself then, its probably not that hard. i never understood the concept until recently. just helping out with personal experience that may prove useful ;)
