hi guys.. i just purchased an 89 240.. sohc.. i know it isn't the best choice but got a great deal on it.. it is a 5 speed and was wondering on how or what to get to get more power... it has 144,000 miles now.. runs good but i am planning to get headers/ exhaust and port/ polish the heads.. and recommendations besides this? average pricing on these steps? i want to learn how to drift.. and am not sure if it has enough power.. any help is very appreciated..

if you are going to drift, don't waste your money on p&p. You'll need all your cash for tires and an lsd. first things first, get your suspension freshened up, new ball joins and t/c rods. Get some engine tune up stuff (plugs, wires, cap, rotor) if they haven't been replaced in a while. Once you got the car running tight, then work on getting a header which will only give you a few hp anyway. The hotshot header is what most people have, check the main page installs and reviews for prices on mods.
