ok, this is not your usual ac problem.... quick recap, ac didnt work, filled with freon, ac light came on but clutch never engaged...
changed to another compressor i had, checked all relays, and power to compressor, this one had a good thermal unit in back, refilled with freeon, ac light comes on, air starts to get cold...
but the gauges show still low freon, keep fillling up, finally after the 3rd small bottle im up in the blue zone (filled good) then all of a sudden the ac starts kicking on and off... the light on dash turns on and off... and clutch engages and disengages...
now i know this is not the low pressure switch.. b/c i checked with 3 gauges and all is good..
i did however notice the condensor fan was not working at all... i just bought the car and i know there was some wire hacks going on under the hood that im trying to fix...
could this b the problem? could the condesor fans not running be causing the freon to get to hot on the high return side? Just curious before i start hunting down the ac fan wiring problem......
this is an 89 ka24e...
anyones thoughts..?
and yes i have used search function... as stated i am good according to 3 gauges on my levels....also no leaks using special dye check
